T. L. Taylor Talk

One of the most interesting, yet basic, things that Taylor mentioned this evening was the note about the absence of female obsession. I had never quite thought about it, but the idea of a person obsessing over a comic book collection, or trading cards, etc, is regularly assumed to be a male behavior. Whether or not women have just as tenacious of “geek” obsessions, a societal gendering of this sets the groundwork for the segregation created by “geek masculinity.”
